The Neon Sign was made by taking Polyethylene tubing and kerfing it to fit the shape. Then a piece of EL wire was pushed through the Polyethylene tubing. Thus the tubing could not be kerfed past the turning radius of the EL wire.
Connecting the tubing and kerfing to the backing board was the biggest struggle of this project. In the end small holes were drilled and pieces of gardening wire stuck through them and twisted on the backside of the mounting flat to keep the tubing in place. This resulted in a less than perfect mounting job.
