MARIAN, OR THE TRUE TALE OF ROBIN HOOD
Theatre @ First - Nathan Tuffs / Powderhouse Park
Marian, Or the True Tale of Robin Hood is a joyful, diverse, heartfelt and hilarious play. It explores themes of gender-expression, and the experiences of those of marginalized genders, and how to find out who you are and who you love; all wonderfully juxtaposed within the familiar story of Robin Hood. This slapstick Monty-Python-esque farce is rife with sword fights, thumb-wrestling matches, characters in disguise, and endless surprises.
Robin Hood is (and has always been) Maid Marian in disguise, and leads a motley group of Merry Men (few of whom are actually men) against the greedy Prince John. As the poor get poorer and the rich get richer, who will stand for the vulnerable if not Robin? What is the cost of revealing your true self in a time of trouble?
Heroes of the fourth turning
Directed by Marianna Bassham
Assistant Director for SPEAKEASY STAGE - Roberts Theatre in The Calderwood Pavilion
NOMINATED:
ELLIOT NORTON AWARDS
Outstanding Ensemble, Outstanding Production Midsize Theater
One week after the Charlottesville riots in 2017, four young conservatives gather in a Wyoming backyard to gossip and reminisce. They’ve assembled to honor Gina, their mentor and the newly inaugurated president of a far-right Catholic university. But as their celebration runs deep into the night, the reunion explodes into vicious insults, political accusations, and stunning revelations. Hailed as “a work of singular distinction, for which the word ‘remarkable’ is, if anything, an understatement” by The Wall Street Journal, Heroes of the Fourth Turning is a daring look at the heart of a country at war with itself.
Assistant Directed for Marianna Bassham through the production by observing, having after-rehearsal conversations, participating in table-work conversations, making recommendations for the design and blocking decisions, and otherwise supporting the production.
"The play’s intricacy requires the kind of finesse [A] director brings... and performances as expertly calibrated as those elicited from [this] splendid cast."

CWRU FOOTLIGHTERS - THWING BALLROOM - CANCELED FOR COVID-19
The CWRU Footlighter's Spring 2020 musical Head Over Heels was canceled a few weeks before it was set to open. Since it was so close to opening, we had lots of work done including designs, and 99% of the show was staged. But, since we were lucky enough to have a few recordings of our rehearsals we made a video to share with you guys.
The cast, crew, pit, and staff of this show were fantastic, and I am truly and deeply saddened we never got to perform this show, but I learned so much and had so much fun along the way. It was the greatest pleasure to work with all of them.
