Duloc/Swamp Sign

This sign rolled across the stage on a pully track the line of which was run across the stage just before this scene happened.

It was constructed first by making a base platform out of scraps and then connecting a 2x4 at an angle. The base and the 2x4 were covered in sprayable styrofoam to give texxture.

The two sign pieces were made of styrofoam, beaten up with a crowbar for their edges, painted, dry brushed and spray painted to look hand-painted by an ogre as well as old and worn.

S’nothers

These were supposed to be sandwhiches made of bark, moss and squirrel guts.

They were made by taking two rectangular bricks of hard white styrofoam, slowly carving this shape out, and sponge painting the details.

Sticks from the outdoors were then selected and skewered into the ‘s’nothers’ and then secured with hot glue that was painted to look like moss squirting out and then being burnt by the heat of the fire.

Beware Of Ogre” sign

Cut from one large piece of styrofoam a soldering iron was used to get the dimension. It was then painted with both brushes and spray paint and then the lettering and self portrait were added before the sign was mounted on the front of his hut.
