Triton’s Trident
I was asked to make a custom trident for the Columbus Academy Middle School production of The Little Mermaid JR.
The shaft was made from one tall dowel bar with rope twisted around it and all of it was spray painted brown and then dry brushed with golds and silvers. The head was made from a piece of styrofoam cut to shape and then filed down to give it semi-rounded edges. It was then lined in twine.
Grandma’s Cart
I was asked to make the grandmother’s cart of potions for the Columbus Academy Student Theater’s production of The Addams Family in April 2015. This was made from odds and ends around the shop strategically balanced and secured down. Items that needed to be used as hand props during the scene were specially secured for pulling the cart on and off stage through magnets and wire.
Paper Props
- Hello, Dolly
As property master for Columbus Academy Student Theater’s production of Hello, Dolly I had to only create a few props, one of which was menus for the restaurant scene and the other was Dolly Levi’s business cards.
